MOUNT MICHAEL PINOT NOIR 2021
MOUNT MICHAEL PINOT NOIR 2021
Crafted from pristine grapes that were hand harvested from a single Pisa vineyard Site. Naturally fermented and pressed to allow an extended period of maturation in French Oak - 10% was new. This wine includes barrel selection blends from a mix of clones 5, 115 & 777.
The 2021 Mount Michael Pinot Noir is beautifully fragrant showing aromas of dark cherries and plums, violets and raspberries and a hint of clove and vanilla. Rich and concentrated on the palate with flavours that mirror the nose. Enhanced by a mineral core of acidity and chalky dusty tannins. A delicious savoury finish with toasty oak providing an elegant structure and length.
Drinking beautifully now, but you will be rewarded with further cellaring.
Notes
Rewarded with further Cellaring / now through to 2031+

Offering fabulous fruit purity with elegant complexity, the wine shows dark plum, toasted spice, olive and almond notes on the nose with a gorgeous floral overtone. The concentrated palate delivers finely textured mouthfeel and juicy fruit intensity, leading to a impressively long refined finish. At its best: now to 2031

Ripe, almost luscious wine with flavours suggesting dark cherry, blackcurrant, plum and anise / wild thyme. Silken textured wine with sugar coated tannins that make it accessible now but suggest good cellaring potential.
